Chaos due to fire
According to the news, the fire broke out in the multi-level parking of the car, due to the sudden spread of the fire there was an atmosphere of chaos on the spot. It is a matter of relief that there is no news of any kind of damage due to this. Pictures of the fire are being seen on social media.
Many fire engines reached the spot
Fifteen fire tenders were sent to control the fire, which affected half of the multi-storey building and several cars were gutted. Airport officials said flights have been suspended until 12:00 noon (local time) for the safety of passengers and staff. Looking at the pictures it seems that there were huge flames in the car park. Luton is the fourth largest airport serving London and offers the most discounted flight tickets.
